Hi I'm Isaac

I've danced and performed all over the world. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to perform. I act, sing, and dance. I acted in high school and have done community plays and also the Dickens festival, I placed at Shakespeare festival and have received other acting competition awards at state, etc. As a dancer I have competed and done well at state and nationals for ballroom. I've also performed on a cruise ship and at elementary schools and rest homes (those last two are my favorite). I was also on an internationally touring folk dance team and have represented the U.S. at multiple festivals in Europe, Canada and the U.S. I have taught at a studio and I also have experience in ballet and contemporary dance. I love singing, in and out of choirs. I love math and I have a vivid passion for teaching, that's part of why I love performing is to help people learn and feel God's love and understand who they are and can become. I am an alumnus of the leadership camp Camp Rising Sun in Rhinebeck, NY and because of that I enjoy a powerful network of friends worldwide. I did track and field in high school, as well as wrestling and football for 2 years before I got concussions that took me out of them- I still enjoy those sports though. In general I enjoy being active and healthy! I am also an artist and did karate when I was young. I also love reading, right now I'm reading The Way Of Kings by Brandon Sanderson; I loved Mistborn and the other books relating to that part of the cosmere. I also love classic books like Frankenstein and the count of Monte Cristo.

Why I am a Mormon

My dad was converted as a teenager, and by God's loving hand was led to my wonderful mother; so I was raised in the church. I noticed there were many in the faith who said one thing and then did another; this confused me and I wanted to know if the church was really true or something people made up. I searched the scriptures and earnestly prayed to know the truth. After many years of devoted study and application, and a multitude of experiences too sacred to recount here, I have come to know many truths that were at one time dim to me. I know this is His gospel; this church is the one true church on the earth today and was established by His hand to help prepare the world for His coming. Because of this gospel, I and all the people of the earth who have lived, live, or yet live can know who we are and why we are here and be connected to all of our ancestors and descendants, our family, by powerful ties that last for eternity. It is not always easy in this life; but because of my choice to believe and act on faith I have received priceless knowledge and power against these dark times. I am grateful for the gospel and the priesthood that truly is ordained of God and is the power and authority to act in the name of Jesus Christ to bless his children; I am personally grateful for how the priesthood makes me a better brother, son, and friend; and it is helping me prepare for when I will be a husband and father. Because of this gospel I am filled with His love. I know this church is true, and that He lives! To know that He lives; there is no knowledge that gives such true, profound comfort and peace, and there is no greater joy than to follow Him. I seal this testimony in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

How I live my faith

I love going to church and getting to learn as well as teach classes on the scriptures and God's word. Having been a leader in the youth programs, I was in charge of inviting and making friends with boys in the neighborhood and taking care of widows and doing other service in the ward, like cleaning the river and doing yardwork for the elderly. I also sing in church choirs to share the gift of music. One of my favorite things was volunteering for a local group home; we did regular church meetings with the residents on Sundays, and I cherish the memories of feeling their love and tender spirit at those times. As a home teacher, I've gone to peoples houses and talked to and comforted them and learned their needs and how I can help them as a servant of the Lord who loves them. I'm now preparing to go on a mission for two years to spread God's love in a foreign country! I'm very excited. I've already received the greatest blessings from visiting the temple as often as I can, usually weekly; I yearn for everybody to come and partake of those blessings, they are truly amazing. I am open about my faith, and because this is a gospel of service I am often involved in service and community projects that enrich my life and those of others.
