Hi I'm Joseph Misalucha Espiritu

I grew up in Lindon Utah. I am a ballroom dancer for BYU. I am a Mormon.

About Me

In 5th grade my parents put me in Ballroom Dancing. I decided that is what I want to pursue. I joined BYU's youth program and have been on a team since 7th grade. I compete in ballroom competitions, and have done well at the national competition held at the Mariott center in Provo. Soon I will be going to college after I serve a mission. When I wasn't dancing, I usually was around my friends, who were a fine example to me. I grew up in a very nice area, constantly being put in good situations. I was very lucky to grow up where I lived.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church. I always knew what it was, and always knew the rules. I was a little spoiled because of that, because even though I grew up LDS, I followed most of the rules, I didn't really care for the church. As I started going to seminary, I started to learn more about the church. I stopped going with what my parents believed in and started to see what I believed myself. Now as I continue to grow, I know this church is true. It brings me so much happiness and the Spirit fills me with joy. Everyone goes through hard times in their life, but this church is what helps me stand back up when I fall. There are so many people who want to help in this church, and I want to serve others. I want to bring the happiness I feel in my life and my family's life, and give it to others.

How I live my faith

I served in multiple positions in my ward, and was very active in youth activities. My dad always taught me to participate in every way possible. So I did. Sometimes I complained, but in the end I knew everything I did helped me grow.
