Hi I'm Sarah Eve Perlawan

I grew up in the Philippines. I am a linguist, a professional writer and editor, and a teacher. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a 24-year old young single adult. I love reading books. I earn through writing and editing words. Modest, classic fashion is my passion. I sometimes sing. I am a Detective Conan fan.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a Mormon because my mother was converted to the Church when she was just 18 years old. This did not hinder me from asking probing questions about my faith and seeking answers to my desires. I received my own testimony of the gospel when I was a teenager. Reading the Book of Mormon from cover to cover led me to the understand that God loves us so much and that He has great plans for us.

How I live my faith

I have a shy personality, but when it comes to living my faith I exert myself. I am a presently a gospel doctrine (called seminary) teacher to the youth (ages 12-17). I also serve as a Young Single Adults Representative. I help organize worthwhile activities and events for the young single members of the Church in my area. I believe in giving my best in all I can. I also believe that each person has unlimited potential that's why as much as I can I try to be kind to everyone I meet. I am especially kind to my students. Outside the church, I live my faith by always dressing modestly to the point that my classmates and coworkers tease me that I dress like I am always going to church.

What do Mormons believe happens to us after we die? What do Mormons believe about life after death?

Sarah Eve Perlawan
Members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormons) believe in the Plan of Salvation, also called the Plan of Happiness. In this plan, it was explained that we exist before we came to this Earth, that we lived with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ prior before. We were sent here because we are to be tested and realized our potentials as future gods and goddesses. After we die, our physical bodies and spirits will be separated. Our physical bodies will remain on earth while our spirit will go to the Spirit World. At the right time, our body and spirit will reunite, and we will be ressurrected just like what happened to Jesus Christ when he died and rose from the tomb. Life after death will continue on forever. Show more Show less
