Hi I'm Emma

I'm a happy and social college student. I'm Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student. It can be tough sometimes but I like the challenge! I'm majoring in Mathematics Education. I really really want to be a high school calculus teacher. I had so many different math teachers who made a difference in my life and I want to be that for other kids. I work in a property management office and love the experience I'm getting. I really like to travel. I've visited Canada; I went to several National Parks and thought it was so beautiful! I've also been to Costa Rica and loved the beaches and all of the rain. Going Jeeping in Moab, UT with my friends is another favorite thing of mine. I like to slack-line, long-board, cook, and shop.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a Mormon family so I've always been a Mormon, my whole life. And little by little, year after year, my confidence in the church and my faith in the gospel grow stronger. When I was younger, I felt good singing church songs and reading scriptures and trying to be kind to everyone. Now that I'm older I recognize and better understand that the "good feeling" I got about the church when I was younger, was the basis for my testimony. Now I'm old enough to understand scripture and doctrine and put the principles I learn in to practice. The church and gospel of Jesus Christ make me happy and bring me hope. It's so wonderful to go throughout life knowing where I came from and what I'm here for. I have goals and important things to accomplish. The main thing I'm working toward is making it back home to our Heavenly Father. And I know He's provided the way for us to do that. I'm a Mormon because it makes sense and it makes me happy.

How I live my faith

I live and practice my faith daily. There are many activities for the young adults in my area. It is fun to participate in the planning of the activities. We bake cookies, play games outside, hike, and all other sorts of fun things. At these activities we take time to talk about experiences we've had that strengthen our individual faith. It's cool to have so much support from my peers. I also have the opportunity to teach my friends and peers. At church we take time to meet as just women. We get to talk about what we can do to strengthen the women and men around us. We talk about how we can contribute to our community. I seriously love leading all my friends in meaningful discussions!
