Hi I'm Emily

I love music, learning, and my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've loved music since before I could remember, and have loved to learn more about it as I teach it to others, and teach myself. I grew up homeschooled, and will graduate high school with an Associates degree. I hope to go to BYU in Provo and get my bachelors degree in music education. My love for the gospel and for the Lord has made me decide to serve a full-time mission next year, and I hope in the future to be sealed in the temple and be a mother in Zion.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I choose to be. Although I grew up in the church, I have chosen time and time again to stay here. The gospel brings me more fulfillment, focus, and joy and my life than any other thing that I have ever experienced. The gospel gives me a purpose in life: to become more like Christ, so that one day I can live in heaven with Him. It pulls me out of the oceans of life and into the boat, saves me from drowning, and puts me on the right path.

How I live my faith

I currently teach a group of 5-year-olds in my congregation, which is a joy. I love being able to influence them for good and teach them how to live and love like Christ. I also play the piano often for my ward choir which builds my testimony of Christ every week. I live the gospel every day of my life by trying to be like Christ. I strive to be positive, happy, caring, and service-oriented, and help others feel God's love for them. My love for the gospel encourages me to share it with everyone who will listen, because I want them to feel the joy that I get from it.
