Hi I'm Jacob

I grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah. I'm assigned to serve in the Korea, Busan mission until August 2018

About Me

I am nineteen years old, and I am currently in the MTC, preparing to serve in the Korea, Busan mission. I love hiking, camping, cycling, backpacking, canoeing, and basically anything related to the outdoors. I love napping, food, laughing, and the gospel.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the gospel, but the reasons I am still a member could be listed for a while. I love this gospel so much. It brings me and my family joy and comfort, and It is such a wonderful influence on my life. I have learned how to love, serve, and constantly strive to improve. One of the main reasons this gospel is so important to me is family. When I was very young, I lost both of my parents. I was adopted shortly thereafter, and my current family is absolutely wonderful. I take comfort in the fact, and know that one day I will be able to meet my parents. I know that Jesus Christ and our Father in heaven love all of us so much. No matter what our hardships are, they will always be there to help us. Life gets hard for everyone, but through the gospel, we can find joy and comfort, and all the hardships of life will be lost in the joy of this life and the life to come.

How I live my faith

Since I am serving a mission, I guess I literally live my faith. I will serve until August 2018, and I am so excited for this opportunity. I do my best every day to be worthy of my calling and to represent Jesus Christ in a way that is consistent with my beliefs. I am on this mission to serve the Lord and my fellow children of God, and I hope to be able to help others in any way possible.
