Hi I'm Aaron

I was born and raised in California. I plan to be a computer science major after my mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My hobbies are playing volleyball and playing games on the computer. I am currently going to college however that will be put on pause for now since I will be serving a mission in Deajeon, South Korea. I will be continuing college when I return and will be pursuing a computer science degree.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was a junior in high school, I met this girl in my math class. I was aware that she was Mormon, but that did not deter me from asking her out. I had no religious background at this point. The things that she told me about the church I usually just shrugged off. One day I walk into my backyard and over my fence was a church building. People were leaving and coming from the church building. I was texting the previously mentioned girl and I discovered that the church behind my house was a Mormon church. While we were texting she asked if I wanted to come see her give a talk. I humored her and accepted her invitation. When I first walked into the chapel I felt very calm and at ease. The people were very welcoming and friendly. I was even invited to go to high adventure with the priests when I was priest quorum (Which I did go to later that summer). It was a nice experience. After church I was invited to my girlfriends house to have dinner. That night they were also feeding the missionaries. After dinner the missionaries gave the introductory lesson. Initially it was very confusing and I didn't know what to think of it. At the end of the lesson they gave me a Book of Mormon and challenged me to go home and read a few chapters. After reading a few chapters they told me to pray to see if it is true and also if Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God. When I got home I did what they asked. I read a little bit a 1 Nephi and prayed about the things I was asked to pray about. At that moment I felt a warm and comforting feeling throughout my body. I took this to be an answer to my prayer and that gave me foundation of my testimony of the Church. Over the next few weeks I continued to have the lessons with the missionaries until I set a date to be baptized. I know that this Church is true. Christ lives and he loves each and every one of us. Joseph Smith was a true prophet. As well as all that prophets that preceded him. And I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I am currently the Sunday school president for my ward. I make the schedules for my teachers and sub if they are unable to make it. Before that, when I first joined the church, I was the secretary for the priests quorum. I also participate in service activities when I can.
