Hi I'm Trevor Neri

I grew up in California. I play the piano and aspire to be a great musician. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to play the piano and I am going to be serving as a Missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Philippines.

Why I am a Mormon

My family has been in the church since I was born. Although I grew up in the Church and was baptized when I was eight, I didn't feel truly converted until I sought out whether the Church was true or not. There are two main things that I feel has helped me come to a realization of a sense of true conversion to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. First is the Book of Mormon. Growing up in the church--during talks, class, and in about every missionary discussion--reading the Book of Mormon was highly encouraged. All my life, that always passed from one ear and out the other; I never gave true regard to that privilege that we as members, and everyone in the world for the matter, have for learning about the keystone of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Around the age of 17 going on 18, I gave the Book of Mormon a shot and I read it straight through. In Moroni 10:3-5 there is a special promise made to all those with a sincere heart and a pondering mind that "by the power of the Holy Ghost ye may know the truth of all things" (Moroni 10:5). I couldn't have been more amazed at the truth that I received from making the effort to read the Book of Mormon. I highly encourage anyone to read it and follow the promptings in Moroni 10. Second is the music. I am a musician at heart and I absolutely adore not only the music of the hymns but as well as the spiritual lyrics contained in them. Each of the hymns contain so much truth and help magnify the joy the Gospel brings. In turn, playing the hymns was one of the major ways I learned how to play the piano, understand music, sight read music, and most of all, come to know of the spiritual emotions that could only have been inspired by loving God. I am absolutely grateful to my Heavenly Father for blessing me with such an opportunity to develop my talent in playing the piano and becoming truly converted to the Gospel. That's why I am a Mormon!

How I live my faith

I am the Pianist and Organist in my ward and I love it! I have the privilege to play hymns, perform piano solos, and participate in group performances in Church and my community. I am currently serving as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints!
