Hi I'm Alaura Millet

I am a girl who loves the Arizona sun, music, and my family. I am a singer, a baker, and a spanish speaker. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a student in college studying for a degree in Nutritional Science. I love experimental baking, singing loud in the car, biking and running long distance, reading and learning about new things, dancing in the kitchen to Pandora with my sisters, and most of all I love being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and having the Gospel and God in my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised as a Mormon so some could say that is why I am Mormon, but for me it was a conscious decision to continue being Mormon, and because I sincerely believe and love the truths of the Gospel that are taught in this Church. I am Mormon because when I read the Book of Mormon I feel a happiness that I can only describe as the spirit testify of the truth of the book to my heart. And I am Mormon because it is through the Gospel of Jesus Christ that I have found the most joy and fulfillment in my life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to live my life after the Savior. That means I try to do the things that bring me closer to him like worshiping at church, reading my scriptures, and praying. My biggest desire is to be close to Christ and have a relationship with him so I've found that these are the best ways that help me remember God and find peace and purpose. Being Mormon isn't just a religion it is a lifestyle. Our standards are high but for me it is worth it because when you are living righteously and keeping yourself clean you are worthy to feel God's presence in your life, and it's that sweet spirit that gives me the peace, comfort, and strength to continue. By living the Gospel of Jesus Christ I have been blessed, and I am a happier and better person.
