Hi I'm Jacob

I was born and raised in California. I have my own testimony of the truth of the gospel. I have been Mormon my whole life.

About Me

I just graduated high school and am now leaving to serve a full time mission. My interests include aviation, family, and games of any kind.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I know that this is the only true church on the earth, which has been restored. Everyone has their own conversion experience, even if they were born into this church because they want to know if this church is true. For me, I have always known that everything in this church is true, but I always knew that I needed something. My conversion happened when I was able to received my patriarchal blessing, which members may choose to receive after the age of 16. At age 17, I chose to receive mine. The purpose of a patriarchal blessing is to know which of the 12 tribes you are from, but in addition to that, is almost always extra guidance from our heavenly father for your life, your trials, your life before this earth, and almost anything retaining to you and what you may need. A patriarchal blessing is sacred and personal, and generally isn't shared with others since it is for you. When I received my blessing, I felt the spirit completely wash over me as I sought out heavenly father for help in my need. I cannot forget that experience and cannot deny it. I always had known that my Heavenly father was real, but that experience confirmed that everything I had learned was true and that he really is there and loves you.

How I live my faith

I participate in my ward currently by attending activities throughout the week or in service projects. I will always try to be there for people whenever they are in need. I am always looking for ways to help however I can, even if that is from helping lift and construct, to just being a friend who is there for them.
