Hi I'm Chris

I grew up in Utah, I play sports, I play guitar, I'm a Mormon

About Me

I like to play soccer and basketball with my friends. I play a lot of guitar and like to spend time outdoors up in the mountains doing thing like camping and mountain biking.

Why I am a Mormon

For a long time I was simply a Mormon because my parents told me that was right. Growing up in the church, you would simply do as your parents said. My parents went to church, and so I did too. Eventually though I realized that I was in a point in my life that I could choose whether or not I wanted to be a Mormon. I decided that I had to find out for myself if the gospel was true. After a lot of thought, a lot of scripture study, and some more thought, I got down on my knees and prayed. I tried my hardest to keep an open mind, ready for any response that I got. The lord then helped me to remember and realize all the times that he has been there for me in my life. The times that he has comforted me because I was scared, or when I had a blessing placed upon me to help my back heal from an injury, or when helped me make a decision regarding schools and classes to take. And at the end of my prayer I knew that God was real and that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day saints was the true church.

How I live my faith

I do a lot of service. I worked at a sprinkler store for a couple summers so I help fix a lot of broken sprinkler systems. I also help plan activities, games, and campouts for my ward.
