Hi I'm Gwen

I live in Oklahoma and will be serving a mission in the beautiful Brazil. I'm very blessed to be a Mormon.

About Me

If you like waking up early to go to the gym, do some yoga and meditate, go rock climbing, or spend time out doors-- then I'm your girl! When I'm feeling less active I enjoy painting, reading, and writing. I'm the oldest of six kids (two of which are under the age of two) so that's rubbed off on me a bit, and I tend to be described as motherly. My family and the gospel are my world and I love them with everything I have.

Why I am a Mormon

Being Mormon, or LDS, is extremely personal, serious, and sacred to me. I can not deny the Spirit I have felt throughout my conversion, a conversion that began when I was twelve, and completely infused a little preteen with the light of Christ. I know our Savior, Jesus Christ, can change us because He transformed me. If you make Him the focus He will bless you and comfort you through everything. He gives us the strength to do what we could not on our own. Whether it be to love when it's hard, forgive others, overcome depression, or deal with everyday trials, our Heavenly Father and His son want us to succeed. Even though it can be difficult to understand why certain situations and difficulties take place, this gospel brings clarity and peace and hope to everything. It has taught me to hold myself to a higher standard and reminds me of what is really important. It makes me believe that through the atonement of Christ I can overcome anything and we can all have a change of heart. Through Christ's atonement, I know that every single life matters to Him and our Heavenly Father, and when no else loves us or believes in us, They do.

How I live my faith

Over the years I have been at one point or another president of the 12-13, 14-15, and 16-18 youth girls. I have also been secretary of the 12-13, and second counselor for 14-15. I currently have the blessing of being chorister, so I get to be really involved in song choice and ambiance. I am also representative of my areas institute, or scripture study class, and it's been such a blessing.
