Hi I'm Bre

I live in California. I enjoy the mountains, rain, and Japanese culture. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm short in height and introverted in personality. I am a big fan of many geeky works like Star Wars, Batman, anything Disney or Studio Ghibli; and anime. I love reading fiction novels but my tastes range widely from, J.K. Rowling to Jane Austen to J.R.R. Tolkien to Gerald Lund. I prefer to listen than to talk. I love cats and socks. I love my siblings with all my heart. I admire my parents for the hard workers they are. I am so grateful for the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. I love being a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a Catholic family. Everyone in my immediate and extended family down the line on both my father's and mother's sides were(are) Catholic. When I was about six years old though, one of my older sisters was invited to a birthday party by a classmate. She attended this party with our mother who noticed a particular closeness about the birthday boy's family. My mother felt inclined to ask the boy's mother what religion her and her family practiced. The boy's mother responded, "we are Mormon." She eventually sent the missionaries to our home and well, the rest is history. I am a proud member of my family of six. Each of us have served and are currently serving within several different auxiliaries and organizations within the church. I have two older sisters who have served full-time missions and I, myself, have recently accepted a call to serve in Japan. My family has truly been blessed and unified by having the gospel in our lives. I love it and thank Heavenly Father everyday for the immense blessing it is.

How I live my faith

I teach young children in my ward. They are ages three to four. They are called "Sunbeams." They really are little rays of sunshine. Each of my wee students has a special spirit about them that makes me love and enjoy the opportunity to teach them about how much our Heavenly Father and Savior Jesus Christ love them, and know them personally, so much! I am absolutely thankful for the experience. It is admittedly difficult to get the rambunctious kids settled down into a reverent bunch some Sundays...but even then I still enjoy playing with them and laughing with them. It is overall a learning experience for both myself and my students.
