Hi I'm Ben Fisher

I love life!! I love to go fishing, hunting and camping. I like wood turning, and wood carving. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love working with wood. Anything from wood turning, to furniture construction, to carving. I am a high school graduate. During high school I played Lacrosse, and loved every minute of it. I love to go fishing, hunting, and camping with my family. I enjoy spending time with my friends. We like to go on hikes, swim, and play volleyball together. I also love to read. My favorite series is the Stormlight Archives written by Brandon Sanderson.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because this gospel brings me true happiness, and I desire to share that happiness with others. I believe in and love my Savior, Jesus Christ. His atoning sacrifice has made it possible for me to have hope and happiness, and to get rid of guilt and sadness. I owe everything to my Heavenly Father, because he is the one that sent his son to die for me. I have faith that my Heavenly Father lives and loves me. He speaks in this day through his Prophet, Thomas S. Monson. I know that the fulness of the gospel was restored through Joseph Smith. Under the guidance of Heavenly Father Joseph Smith translates the Book of Mormon. I love the Book of Mormon and study it daily. I have found that by living its teachings I have become happier. I know that everything is possible through God. He really does live, and he desires for us to rejoin him after this life. I look forward to the day that I can see my Heavenly Father again.

How I live my faith

I am currently preparing to serve a mission in Campinas, Brazil. Me and a man from my ward home teach a few families in my ward each month to check on them. I attend my church meetings regularly on Sunday. I have a calling to teach every second week of the month. I enjoy the opportunity to teach and share my opinions with my fellow church members. I also love to attend an LDS temple near my home every week with my friends and family.

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Ben Fisher
The Atonement of Jesus Christ includes his suffering in the Garden of Gethsemane, his Crucifixion, and death on the cross, as well as his resurrection on the third day. Through this atonement, Christ made it possible for us to be forgive of our sins, get rid of guilt, and find peace and happiness. The atonement is everything, without it we are nothing, and we can't progress. If we live worthy, repent of our sins, and obey the commandments of our loving Heavenly Father, then we will return to live with him. That is why it was necessary for Christ to sacrifice his life. He made it possible for us to be perfected through the atonement, so that we may be worthy to live in our Heavenly Fathers presence after this life. Show more Show less
