Hi I'm Sienna

I grew up in Missouri. I write stories. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm going to college to either become an Elementary School Teacher or start and own my own Montessori Preschool. I'm majoring in English with a minor in Creative Writing right now. I want to publish a best seller one day. As of right now though, I have more book ideas than I do actual finished books. It's hard finding motivation to finish one. I'm the youngest in my family and have three older siblings who have all fallen away from the church at one point or another. Only my oldest sister has repented and returned to the church and that's only because she had a child out of wedlock and realized how important the church is and how she wants her child to grow up in it. Sometimes I'm worried my other siblings won't return at all, but I always remember my Heavenly Father has a plan for them and it's no accident I was born into this family. I know the Lord will help me to help them return one day. I just have to remember to always have faith.

Why I am a Mormon

Me being a member started off with me just being born into it. It's what I grew up with and I didn't really know any other way because my whole family were members. But it's grown beyond that. I've seen what life is like without the gospel of this church. I watched as my siblings fell away and their lives spiraled out of control. My oldest sister had a child with an emotionally abusive man and had to return home and live with us. She ended up repenting and returning to the church and afterwards her life became a lot better. Through my siblings I've seen what life is like when you fall away, and I don't want that for my life. However, through my parents, I've seen what life can be like by staying true to the faith. I want a eternally strong family that can only come through marriage in the temple. I want the happiness that gospel promises in every word that is written about it. It may have started off by me being born in the church, but I have grown to love what this gospel stands for and I don't want to imagine my life without it.

How I live my faith

I have a great faith in my church. I've recently decided I want to share that faith by serving a mission for the church. Beyond that, I don't really do much within my ward. Previously when I was in a branch, I helped with the youth and helped plan and organize activities. At on point I was put in charge of the nursery which was my favorite calling because I got to spend time with the itsy bitsy children and see their love and faith for Jesus Christ grow. I go out with the missionaries every now and then to help teach non-members how important the church is.
