Hi I'm Allie

I'm Allie, a twenty year old who is still figuring out life step by step. I have recently been called on a mission to Utah!

About Me

Hello, my name is Allie and I am twenty years old. I am from the area of beautiful Palmyra NY, where the Sacred Grove is practically in my backyard. I retire to the grove often, as it is my favorite place to be. Christmas break in 2014, I started to question Heavenly Father about the next step to take in my life as I just finished my high school career. Now, (October 2016) I am entering the mission field after much preparation and faith. I am so excited to serve the Lord and minister unto His children!

Why I am a Mormon

Although I was born into the church, I did not truly convert until I was 18 years of age. I felt especially through my teen years that I was relying much on my mother's testimony and needed to figure it out for myself. I fell away from the church for a couple years and did not live the standards. After a semester at a local college, I felt as if something in my life was missing. I feel today as if it was my true purpose and identity as a child of God. I didn't know it at the time, but I was loved. I then questioned the Lord on what I should do in my life and who I was. I began to attend church and pray, the spirit that was brought back into my life is my conversion. You can feel a sure difference when you are living with the spirit than living without it. I am so grateful for the spirit and for a loving Heavenly Father who is entirely excepting of us no matter the severity of our sins. He loves us, and He knows us each individually and the desires of our hearts. I am proud to be a mormon and so very thankful for our standards, even when the world might laugh and scorn them, they are a protection to me, and I am forever thankful for them.

How I live my faith

I love to start and end my day talking with my Father in Heaven through prayer. I come from a divorce family and it is a wonderful feeling knowing that I am loved as a divine daughter of God. It gives me strength throughout the day knowing that I walk amongst other sons/daughters of God and that He loves all of his children endlessly and wants us to return back to his open arms someday. Service projects are one of my favorite activities, I love putting a smile on someone's face and the spirit that uplifts me as I become selfless in the gift of service. When we serve those around us, we are also serving the Lord.
