Hi I'm Erik Anderson

I'm a Mountain biker, a Skier, a Pizza Connesuir, a frisbee enthusiast and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

Hello! I'm Erik, or Ike for short! I have always been a big fan of nature and everything that comes with it! Biking, hiking, hunting, fishing, swimming, skiing, camping and drawing are my favorite sports/hobbies. I am the middle child of three dudes, I've got my mom and my dad and a group of friends that mean the world to me. I love having fun, it's probably the best thing to do at any given moment in time. Happiness doesn't come to those who wait, it comes to those who get up and go! Traveling is fantastic and I would do it everyday if gas wasn't so expensive. I grew up in Farmington, Utah and I'm currently serving a full-time mission is Houston, TX!

Why I am a Mormon

In the beginning it was because I was born into the church. For a long time that was the big reason, I went through the motions because it was expected of me. As time passed I began to understand more and more and it wasn't until I prayed to My Father in Heaven that I really understood the Gospel. It's not about going through the motions, it's about feeling the spirit and becoming a better son, brother, husband, father, and friend. I have stuck with the church because there is no other way to go, Jesus Christ is the head of this church, He leads and guides the Prophets and Apostles that He has called. I'm a Mormon because it is only in and through the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints that I can find peace and happiness. I have found solace in the Book of Mormon and the things taught therein. Im a Mormon because I know Jesus Christ lives. I know He established one church while He was on the earth. I know that this is that church.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving as a Missionary in Houston, Texas! I have come to recognize that the Gospel of Jesus Christ, His Eternal Atonement, and the Commandments we've been given are for my benefit. I strive everyday to be nicer, happier, and more Christ like. True Discipleship is my goal and it's Through Christ that I will get there.
