Hi I'm Elder Maez

I was born in Ogden, Utah. I am serving in the Philippines Quezon City Mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently serving in the Philippines Quezon City Mission. In High School I ran in Cross Country and Track, and after my mission I will run for the Southern Utah University team. I love my parents, Trent and LeAdelle. I have four siblings: Jaxton (17), Madisyn (10), Donovan (8), and Ronin (4). Families can be together forever! I absolutely love collecting vinyl records, and I LOVE playing my guitar and singing.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a Mormon my whole life, my parents are members, as well as some of my extended family. However, membership is a personal response, especially when we face challenges. My testimony has come over time through trials and countless prayers and endless hours in the scriptures. I have felt the loving arms of the Savior. I know that Jesus Christ, our Redeemer, is our most loving Advocate with the Father. His love has changed my life forever. Because of His love, He restored His Church in the last days. The Church of Latter Day-Saints (commonly called the 'Mormon Church') is His Church today. He leads this Church through a living Prophet and living Apostles. I know that these things are true because I asked of God. Through the Holy Spirit, I received an answer. I know that you can as well. God knows all and is willing to help His children if we just come to Him. I plead with you to follow the invitation of James. "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God...: (James 1:5) I know you will be answered.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing my best every day to do a little better. I love people, and I love helping those around me- especially now that I am on a mission. I love seeing the hand of the Lord in my life and in the lives of others as we serve them.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Elder Maez
Families are so important to Mormons because families are central to the Plan of our Heavenly Father. He has given us families to give us strength, to learn, and to find true happiness. In fact, God's plan for our families extends beyond this life. Our Heavenly Father intends for us to be with our families forever, which is just one reason He restored the Gospel through the Prophet Joseph Smith. Show more Show less
