Hi I'm Olivia (Libby) Parsons

I grew up in Victor, Idaho. I'm a returned missionary and volunteer/coach track and field for Special Olympics. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I currently work with people with special needs I enjoy doing hair styles on others for fun I love to cook I enjoy playing the clarinet I have been to Australia three times I'm a volunteer/track and field coach for Special Olympics I enjoy doing service for others around me I am a returned missionary One of my greatest joys is spending time with my family and friends. Growing up, I always loved doing family history with my grandmother and she would always tell me stories from when she grew up. When I was four years old, I was adopted. I also have Asperger's Syndrome/Autism and when I was a younger, doctors told my parents that I was never going to go to school, make friends, live on my own and live the life I want. Through faith and personal experiences I was able to overcome the trials I went through. Having a disability has been a blessing in my life that I gave back to the disability community and I'm motivated to advocate for people with disabilities.

Why I am a Mormon

Growing up in the church, I have had experiences that shaped me into who I am as a member. I know that Jesus is the Christ who sacrificed his life for us. I love how this church can bring blessings and miracles beyond our imagination. This Church has done many good things to me growing up as a primary girl, young woman, young single adult, sister missionary and now a returned missionary. The experiences I had have helped me through out my life and I have seen miracles rain down the people I love. I know that Joseph Smith is a true prophet who put his heart and soul into restoring this marvelous church. I know that our Heavenly Father loves us. He is aware of all we go through and answers our prayers. I'm very thankful that I served a mission and the experiences I gained from this amazing experience.

How I live my faith

I love serving others. I have been challenged by my leaders to help those in need. As an advocate for people with disabilities, I want for them to feel loved by those around them but be included everywhere go especially at church. I have been in various positions through out the years from... music leader, youth group callings and (personally my favorite) stake activity specialist. I currently plan activities in a small group setting for young single adults each Monday and I lead the music in a small group full of women each week. I try to bear my testimony to others that need to hear it. I try to live the Gospel by following the commandments and be more like the Savior each day.
