Hi I'm Brandon

I was raised most of my life in Georgia and Florida. I grew up playing soccer but enjoy many other sports. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Sports and exercise have a huge impact on my life. I grew up playing soccer but have found a love for playing indoor and beach volleyball, tennis, and surfing. I also enjoy the benefits of working out, not so much the process. I enjoy working with numbers and will continue pursuing a degree in Accounting after I serve a mission. I also thoroughly enjoy the beach and all the activities it includes. I also enjoy spending time with others and meeting new people.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into and grew up active in the church but didn't really find myself being truly converted until I went through the tough process of recovering from addiction that plagued me many years of my life. It was there I found who the Savior was to me and that he is really there. Through the constant battle everyday of striving to be clean from my addiction I have been able to feel the love of the Savior. With this love and also the study of the Book of Mormon with true intent, I have found this Church to be true. Another pivotal part of my life was when I discovered that being a member of the Church wouldn't exempt me from trials or tribulations. I had to understand that this life is meant to test us and that Satan and the adversary are real and that they are trying to destroy us everyday. It was with this new found knowledge that I was able to pray unto the Lord and ask him if all the things I had come to know were true.

How I live my faith

I have been blessed to participate in many leadership roles throughout my teenage years. This helped me understand how different each of the kids my age can be and how difficult and trying it can be to love and enjoy those who are different from me. I currently team teach 8 and 9 year old kids with my best friend. This has allowed me to be able to teach and understand for myself the simple doctrines of Jesus Christ. I have also had the opportunity to be an Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America. This has shown me different ways that I can serve my community and all of those around me.

What is Mormonism? OR What do Mormons believe?

Brandon
We believe in Jesus Christ, Heavenly Father, and a Holy Spirit. We believe in the atonement, crucifixion, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We also believe that the fullness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ was returned to this Earth through Joseph Smith after it was removed when all the Apostles of Jesus Christ were killed. We believe in the Book of Mormon as well as the Bible to be correct doctrines of Jesus Christ. Show more Show less
