Hi I'm Janay

I love stars and flowers. I'm a twin. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

"A friend is one of the nicest things you can have and one of the best things you can be."~Winnie the Pooh.~ I love being a friend! I have the best siblings who double as friends. I love photography, food, books, dogs, art, sports, adventuring and God's nature. I want to travel the world! I have been to Ireland, England and Wales, and although it was a short trip, I would love to travel even more places and learn about more cultures than just the one I live and grew up in. I believe in love. I'm a strong advocate for fighting anything that hurts love and relationships, whether it is pornography, addictions, or anything else that gets in the way. After serving a mission, I will be attending college at Brigham Young University-Idaho.

Why I am a Mormon

The real question is why wouldn't I be a Mormon!? I know that families are eternal and I would never want to be without that knowledge. Life doesn't get easier just because you are Mormon but you can sure find things better in an eternal perspective and the sweet, silver linings of day to day life. Being Mormon helps me feel happy no matter rain or shine. It's easier to be a light for others. I know that Jesus Christ is my older brother, friend and ultimate comforter. Because I know of Christ's love for me, I can more easily spread the love to others! Truth, Love, Happiness. That's what it's all about. Storms of life are calmed and peace wins! I know that this life is just a transitional stage for the fabric of our beings. We were not made to stay here forever, but we were created to have joy while we are here. The most joy I have found has been through living obediently to this gospel and sharing it with others. The connection to God has been stronger and more prominent in my life and I know that He loves me as His spiritual daughter and that He knows who I am to the very core of my being. Through this gospel, I can become. Become better. Become stronger. Become more loving. Become more peaceful. Become more. More than what I could do on my own and more than what this world has to offer, because this gospel is eternal.

How I live my faith

I will be serving as a missionary for The Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I have loved growing up having friends to love and serve that I otherwise would not have met or known. I was a peer leader throughout my teenage years to girls ages 12-18. I helped organize activities for learning, service, fun and growing stronger friendships.
