Hi I'm Danny

I grew up in the church. I am preparing to serve a full time mission in Honduras. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I grew up in Jerome Idaho and graduated from Jerome High School. During that time I participated in four years of Cross Country and three years of varsity Tennis. Also during that time I participated in a half-marathon and ran two Ragnar Relays. I enjoy the outdoors very much and have gone on countless hikes including 3- 50 mile week long hikes and have conqued mount Borah twice (highest mountain in Idaho- 12,662) and other things to accomplish the rank of Eagle Scout. I love swimming, reading, exercising, any sport and watching basketball and tennis. I plan on serving a full time LDS mission in Honduras and attending Utah State when I get back. There I plan to study Psychology.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a Mormon since I was born and have thus grown up in the church. I was a part of the LDS religion because my parents made it the number 1 priority in our lives growing up. Because of that it has always been my priority in life. around the ages of 14-17 I learned for myself why I should continue to be a Mormon. After leaving the house my parents wouldn't have control over my religious decisions so I decided to gain a testimony of the church for myself. I started reading the scriptures by myself and praying with intent. I changed and instead of going to church or keeping the commandments because my parents told me to, I started doing those things because I had gained a testimony about their importance on my own.

How I live my faith

I try my best to live my faith the best I can everyday. I do this by daily scripture study and prayer. I attend all my church meetings throughout the week and strive to keep the Sabbath day holy. I have had many callings in the church such as being a class president for the different young men ages and being a family history consultant which is a person who helps people with their family history. I am very excited to set aside these next two years to focus on my faith and missionary work in Honduras.
