Hi I'm Loren Wilson

I grew up in Utah in the United States. I am a retired computer engineer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a small farming community in central Utah. It was a good place to grow up as I learned the value of hard work. I went on a two year mission for the church at age 19. After my mission I went to college and then started my career as a computer professional installing and setting up large computer systems for large companies. I am now retired and have a small piece of land where I grow a large garden and quite a few fruit trees. I enjoy working with the land and being outdoors. I also enjoy cooking and golfing.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents were members of the church so I have been associated with the church my entire life. This however does not mean that I understood or was converted to the church until I by myself studied the gospel and learned of the precepts taught and sincerely sought to find out for myself that it was true. Over the years I have come to learn that it is true and that God lives and loves each of his children and wants to help us all to return to him. The Church and gospel is truly a blessing in my life and I love to be part of it.

How I live my faith

I enjoy attending church every Sunday and listening to the lessons taught and the testimonies given. I get the privilege of going to the Temple every week and assisting with work being done there. I also have a had many different responsibilities in the church such as teaching and keeping track of member records. Now that I have reached retirement me and my wife are going to serve a mission for the church in California. We will have responsibility to help in the Mission office. We look forward to that experience.
