Hi I'm Cameron J Bartschi

I grew up in Idaho. I love cars. I love to sing. I'm a huge fan of Star Wars. I'm a Mormon

About Me

Just graduated High School this year. I am currently serving a mission in New York, Utica. My favorite hobby is off-roading. I love cooking, I make a dang good breakfast burrito. I'm a pretty big Star Wars and comic-book nerd. My favorite sport to watch is Rugby, but I never played any sports while I was growing up. I was more interested in choir because I love singing.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church. The whole time I was growing up, I was one of those kids that just "went through the motions". I knew that everything I was doing was the "right thing" to do, but I just didn't have a desire for myself to do it. It took a while for me to find that desire, and it wasn't until I had received a confirmation of The Book of Mormon that I had that desire. I had put off asking for that confirmation until my senior year, which was a bad idea. I just had this hidden fear that if I didn't pray with a sincere heart, that I wouldn't receive that confirmation. One day in my Statistics class, I had felt the impression to pray. It came out of no where, but I still prayed. I tried to think of every way that I could humble myself before God. The first thing I did was to thank him for EVERY blessing I had in my life, and every time that I had seen his hand affect my life. I had never thought about any of these moments until I had said this prayer. I remember saying "Heavenly Father, I know from what I've been taught, that this gospel makes sense. But what I'm asking for is a confirmation for MYSELF that this book is true" After I had finished that silent prayer in my heart, I waited patiently. What seemed like less than a minute later, I had received one of the most powerful feelings of peace in my life. I knew after that moment that EVERY WORD in The Book of Mormon is true. That it is the word of God. Knowing this gave me a true desire to act on that faith. This is what pushed me to want to serve a full-time mission. Even though I've only been out for a short time, I see my faith increasing every day.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving a mission in New York, Utica. I am very happy to be serving in this area. The more I get to know everyone, the more happy to know that this is what I am doing 24/7.
