Hi I'm Aften

I'm a piano technician, a genealogy junkie, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have always had a love for music but never a great talent for performing. Piano has always been my favorite so when I found an opportunity to learn how to tune and fix pianos, I knew I had found my niche! Genealogy is my other passion. I love learning about my ancestors's lives, where and how they lived, and really where I came from.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that this Church is true. I have studied it's teachings and I have lived by the guidelines, but most importantly, I have felt in my heart that it is true. I know without a doubt that we have a loving Father in Heaven who cares for us individually. He cares for us so much, He sent His Son, Jesus Christ to come to earth, suffer and die for my sins and yours, and than rise again. Knowing this gives me hope! I know that God does not let us walk in darkness, so he sends prophets to lead. I know that He has done this today, just like He did in Biblical times. I am so grateful to know that I have a purpose in this life. That I can become better each day by learning of God and Jesus Christ through the teachings of their ancient and modern prophets.

How I live my faith

As a Mormon and a Christian, I believe that one of our most important duties is to care for those around us. I am grateful opportunities to volunteer in humanitarian efforts the Church sponsers. Those events have helped me learn how to go and find other places to volunteer in my community. As a college student, I don't have a lot of money to give, but I can donate my time to help other people who are in need.
