Hi I'm Kimberly Tesam

I have a passion for art, music, life, and the Gospel. I am a missionary of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

About Me

I read, sew, draw, paint, play video games, do makeup, plays, crafts, watch movies, and hang out with my family. My family is one of the most important things in my life, and with the Gospel, it has become even stronger than ever before. I love the Lord, and the scriptures too! They help us in so many ways! I also LOVE cats! I have one cat and his name is Tiger Boo, and he is perfect. Animals are amazing. I love to also shop and eat too. food is amazing and brings people together near and far. I like cooking, and I take forever, but the end result is always the best! I love the color blue, and purple too. I basically love the rainbow. I studied art for a while and I enjoy making things. I also adore music, because all of my family enjoys singing together. I have fond memories of my family all singing hymns together at night. I also love the Gospel, because for me, it bring joy into my life!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church, and through learning and prayer I found out that this church is the true church, restored on the Earth for everyone. It's wonderful, and has helped me live my life with the knowledge that the gospel is true and everyone doesn't have to be perfect. The Atonement is for us and for our families so that we can be together forever. The plan of salvation is available to everyone, out of love for everyone because our Heavenly Father loves us so much. He sent Jesus Christ to die for us with the knowledge that one day we can all be together again, suffer for our sins, and rise again.

How I live my faith

I try my best to be an example, and choose the right for my family and younger siblings. It's a tough world out there, but that doesn't stop me from making the right decisions and being happy. Heavenly Father wants all of us to be truly happy! So, I take it to heart, and try my best every single day to try and be more Christ-like. Jesus was the ultimate example, and we all have divine potential! That's the purpose of the Gospel; to come unto Christ and be perfected in Him. God loves us all so much, and we are his spirit sons and daughters. He wants us to come back and live with him, just like our earthly parents would. And so, I live my life so that one day, I can be there with Him, and my family for eternity. Together forever in true joy! Who wouldn't want that happiness?

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Kimberly Tesam
No! That's just silly! The Church helps everyone who is in need of help. Plus, I think it's the nice thing to do! We always help those in need, like how Jesus taught in the parable of The Good Samaritan.(Luke 10: 25-37) It's the story of a man who was robbed and left to die naked near a road. Two men, a priest and a Levite, passed by this man before a third one, who was a Samaritan, had compassion on him. He treated the man's wounds, and took him to an inn to take care of him. Then he paid the innkeeper to take care of the robbed man, and told him whatever he spent on the man, he would repay him back. I love this story, and it helps me to see why we should care for others and help our neighbors. The Samaritan had a kind heart and helped the poor man, as we should help others when they are in need as well. Show more Show less

How is the Book of Mormon different from the Bible? How did Joseph Smith obtain the “golden plates” or Book of Mormon?

Kimberly Tesam
The Book of Mormon is another witness of Christ that He is our Savior and Redeemer. It's a history of the ancient inhabitants of the Americas. And, it all started with a family that traveled from Jerusalem to ancient America. It's like the Holy Bible, but it is all about different people and it's in a different place. It's their records of their dealings on the Earth and their relationship with God, passed down from generation to generation. It was written by prophets called of God in the Americas. Joseph Smith obtained this record from a divine messenger named Moroni, the last writer in the Book of Mormon. Moroni gave Joseph a mission to go and get the Golden Plates and then to translate them because God needed the records. The records contained the fullness of the Gospel! They became the Book of Mormon. Show more Show less
