Hi I'm Lesly Soriano

I am a senior in high school, I love to cook and bake, I love sports, and I'm a mormon

About Me

I am from the beautiful state of Los Angeles,California. I come from a family of nine, my mom, my dad, five sisters, and one brother. I am the fourth child. I love to bake and cook. I love playing sports and having fun with my family. I am planning to go to college after high school and maybe go on a mission.

Why I am a Mormon

Coming from a catholic background I always knew that church and God were important. And they always came before anything else. Knowing that as my parents and older sisters were taking the missionary classes it seemed normal to me. Once I started going to church and getting the habit of waking up every Sunday. It started to hit me that maybe I should take the gospel and all that it offers a little more seriously. Primary was helpful to remind me why church was important and what I was able to receive when I came to church every Sunday. Once I started going to Young Women's and Sunday School Like every person in the world I started to have doubts. I just couldn't understand How all of this would help me in the long run. So I asked and asked and asked. Until I finally went down on my knees one night to pray. Of course I said my usually prayer and then I told my Heavenly Father About my doubts and concerns. This prayer is still being answered because remember I wanted to know how the gospel would help me in the future. And I get reminded every day. That the gospel is the key to having a happy family. It's is the foundation of my life. Seminary was and still is a challenge. Waking up at 5 in the morning is not as easy as it sounds. But I know that if I attended seminary every day I am preparing myself for the trials and tribulations of the world. Here is my testimony, I know this church is true, I know that Joseph Smith was a chosen prophet of God. and because of him we now have the true church back on the earth. I know that every prayer we say will be answered in it's due time. And That everything happens for a reason, I know that to be true. I know that Families can be together through the gospel of Jesus Christ. And to have Have a happy family we need to fight for a happy family. I believe that Heavenly Father puts trial in our lives to see how much faith and trust we have in him. And I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen

How I live my faith

one month ago I attended girls camp. But this year we did A multi-stake girls camp. It was a life changing experience that i hold dear to my heart. I was one of the representatives in my Stake. With this I was able to help out the stake leader plan different activities and devotionals from camp. Not only that but practice my leadership skills.

What do Mormons believe about family?

Lesly Soriano
We believe that families are the essential part of the plan of happiness. Families that excepted the gospel and to follow in Jesus Christ can be together forever through sacred ordinances preformed in God's holy Temple through the power of God. Even though family members die we are still able to be sealed to them also through sacred ordinances in the Temple. Show more Show less

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Lesly Soriano
No we don't only help Mormons. We offer serve to everyone everywhere. the Mormon church has donated money and material items to many different countries in need of humanitarian aid. Most of these countries have a few to no Mormons. that is were missionaries come along. They are called to help those who are not Mormon. To give service to those in need. to comfort those who need comforting. whether in this church, or in any other or in no church at all. Show more Show less
