Hi I'm Ryan Sedig

I grew up in Arizona and love the sun. I'm an athlete. I'm an artist. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My passion lies in exercise. It started out as a means to an end. I wanted to look and be stronger. I very quickly grew to love the process of it all and now the benefits to exercise are just a bonus. I love being outdoors in the sun, playing sports, providing physical service, and pushing plates at the gym. I can work out in any mood and by the end have a smile on my face. Overtime, exercise in any form has taught me many things on a mental and spiritual level. I have become fascinated with not only challenging and strengthening my body, but also my mind and my spirit. I hope to play college lacrosse after my mission and one day own my own gym with my best friend. Art has also played a big role in my life. I love all types of art and enjoy finding things that are symbolic to me. I mainly do sketches and interpretive drawing with pen or pencil, but also like to try different types of art.

Why I am a Mormon

I was baptized when I was 10 years old. Although it was my choice to be baptized, I went through a phase of doubt. During that period of time I looked for things that were of the world that would make me happy, but it always resulted in disappointment. Eventually, I developed a desire to change my life around. I was tired of feeling angry, depressed, and alone. I became overwhelmed with heartache for the bad decisions I had been making and wanted so bad to start over, but had no idea how to or where to even begin. That's when the spirit brought to my memory something my mother had taught me. I remembered learning of Jesus Christ and his atonement. I was instantly filled with a relief of my past and a bright hope for the future. At fourteen years old I decided to truly follow Jesus Christ and as I read from the Book of Mormon I knew that it was true. Since that time, doubts have come and gone, but my testimony will always be the same. I know Jesus Christ is my Savior. I know the Book of Mormon is true. I know Christ leads this church today by latter-day prophets and apostles through the priesthood of God. I love this church. I couldn't be happier with where I'm at in my life now.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to always be an example of the believers. I do my best to be a good citizen to my community and my country. I seek to help those around me, never passing judgement, but instead extending love. I strive to be morally clean and be honest at all times. I am anxiously engaged in my church and do my best to hold to God's standards and ultimately live up to my potential. Everyday, I strive to be consistent in following my Redeemer, Jesus Christ, and to put my faith in him no matter what is going on in my life. I am currently serving as a missionary in Montana. I have been able to dedicate all of my time and attention to the service of God for two years of my life. I love sharing the joy of the gospel with others and seeing them develop a stronger relationship Jesus Christ. After my mission, I will continue to be a missionary by always sharing the things I have come to know to be true.
