Hi I'm Melia

I grew up in Utah and come from a family with eight kids. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the fifth of a family with eight children, which has been hard but is the greatest blessing I have ever received. I love my family so much and because of that they are my best friends. I attend college right now hoping to be a history major but I have not gotten that far yet. History is my passion because to me it is story time. A lot of people get bored of memorizing dates and names but I love that part because that is what makes the story so much better. I am leaving on an LDS mission for eighteen months and I am so excited to share my testimony of Jesus Christ with the people there.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because it makes me happy. I am never happier than when I am living the gospel of Jesus Christ. There have been times in my life when I was lax and had several doubts, but I decided to have some faith and whip myself into shape and crawl back to better standards. During those times I forget what it is like to have the Holy Ghost with me and to remember that my Savior loves me. There is a comfort and a joy that comes when I remember these things. I can see how it affects those around me too and it is always positive. I have definitely had confirmations from the Holy Ghost about the gospel, even if I forget. I can't even describe the feeling, I guess it is like feeling peace. I am grateful for the gospel and I love it, I live it, and I am about to go preach it.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending church, accepting callings and being the best person I can be. I strive everyday to have patience and be aware of what I am doing and how it affects others. As I read my scriptures I take those principle that I learn and apply them to my life.
