Hi I'm Lindsey

I am a power lifter, dancer, musician and my family is my life. I'm preparing to serve a mission in New Hampshire. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I just finished my first year of college and will soon be leaving to serve a full time mission in New Hampshire Manchester. I love lifting weights, dancing, drawing, playing the piano, playing sports and spending as much time as possible outdoors. I volunteer at our local elementary school because I love little kids and their sweet spirits. I love spending time with my family and friends --they are my life. For me, smiling is a MUST. I love the gospel and I couldn't be more content with my life.:)

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because without it I would not be who I am or where I am without it. I look back on past experiences and realize that the hand of the Lord was always there, whether in small or large ways. As I have sincerely knelt in prayer, I have felt the perfect and unconditional love the Savior has for me and felt his presence in times of need. He has blessed me and forgiven me and answered my prayers in ways that I needed, even though I did not know I needed them. I have felt the comfort and happiness the Atonement brings. As I have applied it to my life and tried to understand the power that is behind it, I have come to know for myself that it is true, it is real and it works. Through this process, I have grown so much closer to my Savior and have personally learned that through obedience, He has been so much more than just a Savior and the one who atoned for my sins. He has been a listener when I needed someone to talk to, He has been my mentor when I needed guidance, He is a friend that walks every step with me and never leaves my side, but must of all He has been my older brother who has watched out for me and protected me when I ever felt lost, endangered or completely and utterly alone. I am a Mormon because I have seen and felt the power of the Book of Mormon by just opening the cover of it. I have a testimony that the Book of Mormon is the word of God because I have prayed and have come to know for myself that it is true. I have a testimony of the power of the priesthood and that through it I can find hope and peace. I know that Thomas S. Monson is our prophet today and he leads the church in direct sink with what Heavenly Father's directions are. I have a testimony that the suffering and mistreatment that Joseph Smith went through, was so that we could receive and have the blessings of the true church of Jesus Christ. Most of all I have a testimony that pure happiness can be found and when we seek out the truth we will find it and we can know it.

How I live my faith

I live my faith in simple ways. I attend my church meetings, I read my scriptures, I attend the temple, I kneel in prayer and I do my best to listen to the spirit always. I share the gospel with my friends just in small and simple ways, by being myself and letting my actions of how I live, speak for themselves. I play special solo musical numbers on the piano during church meetings or for the choir or the youth. I keep a prayer in my heart and do my best to serve those around me whenever I get the chance. I take what I know to be true and use my faith to guide my actions and decisions. I think of what the Savior would do in my personal situations and do my best to follow His lead. I am not perfect in any way, but I do my best to follow in the Savior's footsteps, for that is the best example we could live by.
