Hi I'm Kathy

I grew up in Utah. My ancestors were pioneers who crossed the plains. I'm a Mormon and have been so all my life.

About Me

I was a stay-at-home mother to six children until they grew up. My husband was self-employed so I went to work in the healthcare industry to receive insurance benefits. I worked there 16 years until we both retired. My hobbies/interests are home and family, reading books and cross-stitching. My children would say that my hobby is making lists. I always had a new work chart for them to do and can't seem to function without a list of my own. When I die, they are going to put on my headstone, "This wasn't on my list!" I've also been heavily involved in taking care of aging parents for many years.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a Mormon makes everything in my life make sense! The more I live the gospel of Jesus Christ, the happier I am. I'm in awe that I know my Heavenly Father loves me enough to allow me to make covenants with Him. I'm in awe that He wants me to pray to Him and that He will listen to even my smallest needs. I'm grateful for His Son and my Savior, Jesus Christ, who gave me the ultimate gift of atoning for my sins. Through this gift I am able to repent and continue to try to do my best each day so that I can live with Them again one day. How blessed I am!

How I live my faith

I have had many opportunities in my life to participate in my community and church. I've been PTA president, PTA president elect and committee member in my community. I've also worked with the Cub Scouts for many years. In my church I've worked with all ages - boys and girls, young women and older women. Serving others brings me my greatest joy!
