Hi I'm Matthew

I was born in California. I grew up in Utah. I enjoy soccer, ultimate, singing, and dancing. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am the fifth of nine children in my family. I love to perform. I've enjoyed choir, ballroom dance, musical theater, and band. I love to play sports, especially soccer and ultimate. I was involved in the scouting program for eight years, during which I achieved the rank of Eagle Scout, not without a lot of help from my parents of course. In academics, I've enjoyed math and science and I hope to pursue a career in accounting or mechanical engineering. I am currently serving a two year mission in Ontario, Canada.

Why I am a Mormon

I read the Book of Mormon, prayed about it, and got a witness it's true. Because I know the Book of Mormon is truly the work of God, I know he called Joseph Smith as his prophet, and through his prophet restored his church again to the earth.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to help others feel more happiness in their life. Whether it is sharing my talents through service, music, or a kind word, I try to do what I can to leave whoever I meet with a smile on their face.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

We strive to be true disciples of Jesus Christ and follow his commandments including the commandment to love and serve our neighbors as ourselves regardless of their religious beliefs. Show more Show less

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

A testimony is knowledge I have gained by the power of the Holy Ghost. I have found that my personal testimony of Jesus Christ and His church has helped me make the most important decisions in my life. It provides stability in a world that is often shifting one way or the other. Show more Show less
