Hi I'm Amour Brooks

I grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada. I have danced for over 12 years, competed in beauty pageants, and volunteered. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to dance. I have danced ballet for 12 years but broke my toe so I was forced to quit, after 4 years I am finally getting back to the hobby I love. I was a varsity cheerleader for four years in high school. I also swim, sing, read, and love to shop. I have competed in beauty pageants as a child and some as I grew up, although it has been a while since I have been busy with college and deciding to serve a mission. I have just been called to the Guatemala, Guatemala City East mission! I am so excited to serve the Lord and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the people of Guatemala.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised a Mormon but I wasn't always active in the church. It wasn't till I was truly converted to this Gospel by going through hardships and lots of questions. I read the scriptures and dug for answers. I wanted to know if I was truly going to see the ones I loved again and if there really was hope for the afterlife. By reading the scriptures, praying and realizing that Jesus Christ was the answer to everything. I gained a foundation of testimony that grew bigger and filled my spirit with knowledge. I now know that I will see my loved ones again, I can be forever sealed with my future family. Being Mormon has guided me in the right direction. It has provided the Restored Gospel which the scriptures talk about and guided me through my life. That is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving one another and loving everybody. I have volunteered my time to many foundations to bring the love of Christ to others.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Amour Brooks
That is one of my favorite things I love about the church. Yes, Mormons really believe that families can be together forever. I cannot imagine not being able to see the ones I love who have left this world. I know that without a doubt because of Jesus Christ we will be able to see our loved ones again and be sealed with our families on this Earth. Jesus gave the power to seal families together when He said, "And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven; and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loos on earth shall be loosed in heaven" (Matthew 16:19).
