Hi I'm Emilee

I grew up in Utah. I am a musician. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Growing up I always was dancing, I danced for about 16 years and then in High School did drill team. As I was dancing I also played the flute, which made it hard to juggle both. So I decided my Junior year of High School to quit dance and just play the flute. I worked hard playing the flute and received multiple scholarships for college. I will serve a full time LDS mission and then when I get home I will get my degree.

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up LDS. As a senior in High school I wasn't sure who I was or where I wanted to be, which brought confusion in my life. After watching multiple friends fall away from the church I started questioning it for myself. Instead of leaving the church I decided to ask God myself. As I continued becoming closer to my Savior through prayer and studying the scriptures I felt a warm comforting peace come over me, the peace that I felt and saw in myself I didn't see in my friends who fell away. I knew that the gospel and drawing closer to Christ brought true happiness, not happiness you could buy or not the kind of happiness you make. But true happiness, I found is when you are close to the Savior. It is done by prayer, listening to the spirit, and following the commandments. I know that this gospel is true, I know that the Book Of Mormon is true, it bring peace and comfort to my soul. I know that our Prophet Thomas S. Monson is called of God.

How I live my faith

At my church I have been able to participate in a few different callings. I participated as a class president, a secretary, and a counselor. In these callings you are able to serve the girls in your class, be a friend, and learn the responsibilities of being a leader.
