Hi I'm Camilla Cook

I am a Missionary in London, England. I am a news reporter. I enjoy public speaking, dancing, and hiking. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently serving an 18 month mission in London, England Before my mission, I was a communication student at BYU-Idaho. I enjoy public speaking and have a dream of becoming a sports reporter one day! Although I attend and live in Idaho to pursue my education, California will always be my home. As a Southern California native, I grew to have an obsession for the beach, In-N-Out, and Disneyland. My greatest passions in life are spending quality time with friends and family (specifically at Disneyland), dancing, hiking, and sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ!

Why I am a Mormon

Every individual here on Earth has trials and tribulations. Some may have lost a loved one. Some may be going through a divorce. Others may be battling a serious medical issue. Perhaps someone is struggling with a mental illness such as anxiety or depression. Whatever the situation may be, each individual will face these difficulties throughout their life. I am a Mormon because it brings me peace and joy in these trials. Throughout my life I have had doubts, questions, fears, and weaknesses; yet through the teachings of the LDS church, I have found answers, I have found understanding, I have found knowledge. Through the church, I have discovered my identity. I am a daughter of a loving Heavenly Father and through that understanding I have become a confident and strong woman. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is true and that through Jesus Christ, we can find forgiveness, peace, and joy in this life. I know that the Book of Mormon is true and that it provides answers to our questions and can give hope when we are in despair. If you are searching for answers or if you ever need help, please message me or contact your local missionaries. The Lord loves you! God speed, Sister Cook

How I live my faith

I live my faith on my sleeve. Anyone I come in contact with knows that I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I share personal experiences and my testimony with everyone I socialize with. I am one of those people that relate every conversation back to the Gospel. Why? Because I love it so much! I live my faith through acts of service. I serve others in simple ways whether it is through notes of encouragement, a text to a friend, or even a smile. Missionary work is also a form of service and dedication to my faith. Through missionary work I begin to focus outwards rather than inwards. I begin to see the needs of others before I ever see my own. I give everything I have to the Lord and the people he places before me. I have served as a missionary, a counselor to young adults, and I have planned and organized various events for my church.
