Hi I'm Jeordin

I grew up in West Valley Utah, I love tech, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm 18 years old (at the time of writing this) and I leave to go on an LDS Mission to Kingston, Jamaica in 16 days... I love music beyond belief, It has helped me through hard times and coasted me through easy times. My career ambitions have changed more times than I can count. I used to want to be some form of Scientist, then The Marines, The FBI, a Writer, Singer, Reporter... the list goes on. I've had many different phases in my life. From Rap, to Country, to Indie, From Sporty to techie... I can't seem to make up my mind on most things. I say MOST things because there are two things about me that have never changed... The first is my love for Technology, specifically Video Games. Video Games have been there for me through everything, they have been my escape from reality, and my source of amazing adventures... Thinking about this constant in my life prompted me to pursue a career in Game Development. It allows me to tell my own stories, and build beautiful universes for other people to explore. (if you want a suggestion for an amazing game, try Journey on the PS4, it is a spiritual experience beyond what words can describe, think of it as an allegory for life) The second constant in my life has been the presence of God... I have always known that God has influenced my path. Even in my (admittedly long) periods of doubt, I have never been able to deny his influence on my life. There are to many examples to list in 1500 characters, but I would not be here without him.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I must be. I must be because I know with every fiber of my being that this is where I belong. I am a Mormon because I choose to be. I choose to be because it is where I find true happiness. I am a Mormon because every day when I open my eyes, I am living a great miracle... because every breath I take is a gift, a gift more valuable than I can fathom...

How I live my faith

I live my faith through the little decisions. Those aforementioned decisions have lead me to this point in my life, Where I will be leaving to teach The Gospel for two years. This is (by far) the most daunting task in my life (so far). In preparation for this task I have never felt closer to God, and even closer to my faults. Faith, for me, is taking a step.. and trusting that your foot will strike the ground, and promptly repeating the process. I live this "faith" by attempting to progress every day, taking small steps to improve myself... and become more like Christ.
