Hi I'm Victoria

I grew up in Utah. I love music and all things Disney. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a complete and total Disney addict. My favorite vacation spot is Disneyland. I play the Trombone and the piano. I love both. Music is great. I love singing and dancing for fun as well. I had the opportunity to travel throughout Europe as a Music Ambassador. We played in many countries and toured famous sites. I will be serving a mission in Mexico soon and after I will be attending a local college. I love learning and reading a whole lot! Reading is my favorite pastime. I love to read anything and love to get lost in a good book!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love the feeling I get when I am living the way I know I should. It has brought me so much joy and caused me to become a better person. I know that I have someone, Jesus Christ, on my side always no matter the mistakes or problems I have caused myself or others. I know that through the Temple and sacred ordinances I can be with my family forever. I will see those who have died and passed on again. This brings me hope. I love knowing that my prayers are answered and that I have a constant companion, The Holy Ghost, to guide and direct me everywhere I go. I love having the spirit with me and the way it makes me feel. I love knowing there is a reason I am here and a purpose to my existence. I love knowing I have a place to go after this life and I can work towards being a better person. The gospel has helped me to understand that no mater what mistakes I have made or sins I have committed I can be forgiven through the Atonement. Jesus Christ suffered for my sins so that I can repent and become better through him. I love knowing all this and the joy it brings me. A lot of things brings me joy, like food, reading, and beautiful sunsets, but nothing brings me true joy like the gospel does. I am truly grateful for all the Gospel has taught me and the happiness it brings.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by participating with my ward or group of people around me that believe the same as I do. I have a calling as a teacher in my ward. I teach a class called Gospel Principles. It is the basics of our gospel and I teach people who are new to our church or who are investigating and want to learn more. There are people of all ages. I attend classes and partake of the Sacrament weekly with those who attend the same meeting as me. We also have service activities for all of those around us and love to help other.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Members of our church are not required to serve a mission, but are promised great blessings for serving. Missionaries are not paid for their service and it is all voluntary. Missionaries come from all over the world and go wherever they are called. They go to teach others about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and to serve. Show more Show less

Who are the Mormons?

We are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Church headquarters is in Salt Lake City, Utah. Mormons believe that their church is the same church that Jesus established when he was on the Earth. Mormon is a nickname because of the belief in the Book of Mormon which is ancient scripture revealed to and recorded by prophets in the Americas during the same time the Bible was being written in the Old World.
