Hi I'm Harley

Im the youngest of eight. I am a nerd. I am an athlete. im sarcastic. Im a Mormon.

About Me

I have been a member of the LDS church my whole life, and i have siblings to spare. I work as a PCA (Personal care attendant) in a private home providing care to disabled adults. I am attending college at BYU-Idaho, and am loving every second of it! In my free time i love to read, play sports, run, and travel. I firmly believe in the art of sarcasm, and commend anyone who is good with grammar. I have been lucky enough to have been able to travel to forty eight states, and hope to complete the last two states in the near future.

Why I am a Mormon

Many people over the years have asked me "why are you Mormon?" I still pause at answering this question; but not because i dont have an answer. I just don't know how to properly convey to someone how much comfort, happiness, and light the gospel brings me. I have had several people who have been close to me pass away. I am not going to lie and say i didn't break; because i did. But i know without a doubt that i would have remained broken if not for the strong feeling of warmth and comfort i received. It was this feeling that helped to piece me back together, and to really give me the strength to carry on. The book of Mormon gives me this same feeling, the feeling of peace and comfort. When i read the Book of Mormon i find answers to questions (sometimes to ones i didn't even know i had), and i am reminded all over again of why i am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

In the past i have helped plan youth activities. I was also a youth camp leader at the churches young womens camp. i greatly enjoyed working this position because i was able to interact with other girls my age, while also mentoring those younger than me. By participating in jobs (like the youth camp leader position) i was able to really understand how to be a leader, as well as the importance of providing activities that have a spiritual (as well as fun) aspect.
