Hi I'm Julie

I grew up in Maine. I am from a large family of 11. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up on a 10 acre farm in southern Maine. We had a horse, a cow, pigs (at one time), chickens, dogs and cats and a too-large vegetable garden. My siblings and I would regularly play in the woods that surrounded our home. Our property had great sledding hills and we would careen down them stopping only at the bushes that barricaded the small stream at the bottom of the hill. It was there that I cultivated a love for nature as well as a desire to create beautiful surroundings. I studied design in college and worked as an interior designer right out of school. I am a mother of two sons and one daughter. I love my family! Together we have loved hiking, fishing, camping and boating. I love reading, playing the piano, drawing, sewing, singing, and hiking. I love nature! I especially enjoy organizing and beautifying my home.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a Mormon family, but when difficulties came in my adult life I had to search out for myself why I believe in this Church and the gospel. Over a period of years, with study and prayer, I've found answers to my questions and doubts and especially felt my Heavenly Father's love and care. I've read the Book of Mormon so many times now I've lost count. I find answers to questions and more questions every time I read. I've come to know the Book of Mormon was written by real prophets in an ancient civilization. I'm so grateful for their inspired and wise counsel because it has been a blessing in my life!

How I live my faith

I have loved serving my Savior by serving those in my neighborhood and church. I have enjoyed the deep friendships that have developed by opening my heart to care about those around me. I pray daily for my family and neighbors to have blessings and peace from the Lord.
