Hi I'm Paeton Murdock

Hello, I grew up in Ohio and Utah. I'm a Mormon. I like to do Spartan Races, triathlons, run, and have fun.

About Me

I graduated high school and worked for Burger King. I participated in swim team and cross country during my high school years. I like to do Spartan Races and triathlons. I am find joy doing most things. I like being with people and talking and doing fun stuff. I am serving a mission to Taiwan right now learning some Mandarin Chinese. Growing up, my family took in around 10 exchange students from Japan, China, South Korea, and Australia which made me grow a likeness of those cultures. I like to eat food. I like to look at amazing views and go places. I plan on doing college and getting married. I'm thinking of entering a career in business or engineering.

Why I am a Mormon

Well, that list on How I Live My Faith looks good, but I probably have a lot more mistakes and things that probably shouldn't have been done. I have lots of weaknesses and my pride gets in the way of living this gospel to this best of my abilities. Well, I am still trying to figure out why I am with this church. This church does lots of good even though it may have imperfect servants. This church has a true gospel and is a true work, but it has imperfect servants trying to the work to the best of their abilities. The thing that has been most important to me is there are lots of different things to believe. One can choose from many different religions or ideas and beliefs to follow or do in their life. The thing that I think is the most important is the end result. This church tells us that if we follow God's commandments and endure to the end, we can live with Him and his son Jesus Christ and our family and friends for eternity in happiness. This scene brings me so much joy. Our Heavenly Father loves us more than we could ever know because we are his children and he know and understands everything about us. I think back and the times that I realize that I am the happiest are the times when I am with family and friends loving each other and having a good time. Being with them for eternity in a heavenly kingdom with our Father of love seems to be the best route. I couldn't think of spending my eternity any other way. For this life, we had a savior, Jesus Christ, who gave his life to suffer for all of our mistakes and sins and any other bad feelings so that we wouldn't have to suffer if we exercised some faith in him. Jesus suffered the most of all so we could have joy in this life and overcome our challenges and hardships through his understanding of our pain. These are the things that keep me with this gospel. Some of the things might seem unusual or strange, but we do not understand all of God's doings for we do not understand everything like he does thisgive me joy

How I live my faith

So far I have only helped be a leader for the young men. I helped plan the weekly activities for the youth and visit the other young men in the ward to create more unity. I also helped teach. I also was a hometeacher. My companion and me taught two families every month and visited them and made sure everything was going all right. It was a fun experience. I really loved the families I had. As an Aaronic Priesthood Holder, I helped the ward in service, teaching, and taking care of the sacrament every Sunday(which involves set up, blessing the bread and water, and distributing it to all the people present). I guess I helped my community by being a scout. My eagle project benefited the cemetery of my city quite a bit. I also did random service projects and planned service projects. Going to the temple helped me and the church out. Right now, I am serving a mission to Taiwan, to help give service to people and give this gospel to anyone that wants hear it.
