Hi I'm Brady

I was born into the church in Utah but most of my family aren't active. I hope to help everyone come closer to Christ.

About Me

I was born into the church but most of my family are now inactive. I have always tried my best to live a Christ centered life, and so when my parents got divorced when I was 13 i had every reason to question the blessings that come from living the gospel and until that point I didn't really have a testimony of my own. I decided to compare the lives of the people around me, those who lived the gospel and relied on Christ to those who did not and the contrast was clear. Over time, faith, and prayer I developed a testimony of my own and have made it my goal to someday be the best husband and father that I am capable of and I know the best and most effective way to do that is through faith in Jesus Christ and his atonement, and his restored gospel.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that this church is true, that Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior and that He suffered and died for us, and that His church is restored on this earth today through the prophet Joseph Smith. I have felt the healing power of the atonement in my life and I cannot deny it. On a more personal level I want to give my future wife and children the absolute best that I am capable of offering and I know that is through living the teachings and commandments of the Savior. I also know that by doing so, and faithfully keeping my covenants, my promises, with the Lord that I can receive eternal life, light, and happiness with my family.

How I live my faith

I have been called to serve as a full time missionary for the church. I have chosen to completely give two years of my life in service to my Heavenly Father, and my Savior, Jesus Christ. this includes bringing souls unto him and giving service to the people in the area to which I am called. While it is true that as a missionary I help to bring people to gospel, I am also being strengthened and taught through my efforts.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Brady
It is strongly encouraged that every able young man serve a mission, however it is not a commandment. In a few instances, It might not be right for a young man to serve but that decision should be made between the perspective missionary, their priesthood leaders, and the Lord. Young women are encouraged to pray about a mission and to specifically ask the Lord if it is right for them, however they are not under the same mandate as young men. Show more Show less

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Brady
The Atonement is the single greatest event in the history of our world. while it is impossible to put into words the full meaning of the atonement we can view it like this. When the Savior, Christ, went to the garden of Gethsemane, and again on the cross, He took upon himself the sins, pains, challenges, heartaches and trials of each individual person that has ever or will ever exist. He did this because He loves us, and because His Father, our Heavenly Father, loves us as well. He did this so that He might have a perfect understanding of everything that everyone goes through. This is why we call Him the Savior. without this great and ultimate sacrifice, none of us on the earth would be able to return to the kingdom of our Heavenly Father because no unclean thing can enter into His presence. Through Christs sacrifice, we can repent, by asking for forgiveness, and because He has a perfect understanding of each of us He can grant us that forgiveness. Show more Show less
