Hi I'm Shelby

I grew up in California. I like to eat watermelon. Im a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a Sophomore college student studying Elementary Education. I live a life of experiencing new things and working hard to achieve my goals of teaching and inspiring the future generation.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a mormon family, so I've grown up with strong values and weekly church attendance. When I was 12 years old, I really wanted to know if the religion I'm practicing is correct. I already knew that I have a Heavenly Father, so I prayed to him for guidance and I read the Book of Mormon through and through. Personally, everything made sense to me. What really got me was the introduction of the Book of Mormon which explained the origins of the book and that believing the Book of Mormon to be true means that the church is true. From reading and praying, I eventually gained a firm testimony that this gospel is true and that our loving Heavenly Father wants us to reap the blessings from keeping His commandments. As i've continued to live the gospel, I've developed a stronger testimony of the truths taught and have realized that being a mormon makes me happy. I know that there is a Heavenly Father that loves me and is looking out for me. I also know that I have a family that I can be with even after death and for eternity. I know that Jesus Christ loves me so much that he sacrificed a great deal so I can live my happy life. I treasure these precious truths.

How I live my faith

I lead the music during our meeting. We sing hymns to allow the spirit to be with us, so I help with that.
