Hi I'm Asher

I was born and raised in Ontario, Canada, I love music, I am currently serving a mission in Budapest Hungary, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Ontario Canada and spent a good chunk of my childhood living in a few different cities throughout Ontario. Even though I have lived here in Calgary for a greater portion of my life at this point, I still consider Ontario home. There are many things I enjoy doing, but some of my favourites are creating and performing music generally playing either the guitar, drums, or synthesizer, working on and restoring older cars and motorcycles, and being in nature either by camping, hiking, playing sports and being active, or just spending time outside.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the church since the day of my birth, and so the gospel has always permeated my family life and affected how I have lived for as long as I can remember. The reason I choose to continue to follow His gospel though, is because of how it has both blessed my life, and the lives of my friends and family. I have seen my best friend come to a knowledge of the gospel and see the blessings and happiness it provides as well as be baptized and begin down the path towards celestial exaltation. I also continue to follow His gospel because of the power of repentance. there is not a day that goes by that I do not see the blessings that come from repentance. The power of the atonement truly does change us, eliminating all that is imperfect as far as we let it. This is why I choose to follow Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

Currently I am in a Young Single Adult ward, and my calling within that ward is that of the Sacrament Coordinator. I thoroughly enjoy this calling as it gives me constant opportunity to think on the importance and significance of the Sacrament throughout the Sabbath day, and how I can best provide this essential principle of the gospel to those in my ward. I am also preparing to serve a mission and have been called to serve in the Hungary, Budapest mission.
