Hi I'm Christel

I believe in my Savior, Jesus Christ. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I am a Mormon

About Me

I was born in Germany. The missionaries taught my mother the Gospel there. Our family immigrated to the United States and settled in Michigan. I graduated from high school in Fenton and then attended BYU. I met my husband there and shortly after he graduated he was drafted into the army and we spent the next twenty eight years traveling to wherever the military sent us. I am the mother of eight children and the grandmother of twenty one wonderful grandchildren. I enjoy reading, cooking and baking. I have recently become a family history addict. I have grown to love researching my ancestors. I love spending time with family, thats my favorite thing to do.

Why I am a Mormon

I believe in my Savior Jesus Christ. I know that He lives and loves each one of us. He gave His life so that we could all have the opportunity to return and live with him and our Father in Heaven, with our families, forever. I know that my Heavenly father loves me and that He is aware of each of us, He knows our names and He knows our needs. He does hear and answer our prayers, even tho they may not always be answered in the way we want them answered. Jesus Christ has showed us the way to return to our Father in Heaven. We have scriptures that teach us all that we need to know and do to receive this wonderful blessing. We have a prophet on the earth who receives continuous revelation for us. The Gospel has been a blessing in my life. It has always helped me feel Heavenly Father's love for me. It makes sense to me, it always has. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints. I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to follow the example of the Savior in my daily life. I have served with the children as well as the women in the Church. I have found that as I serve in various callings in the different organizations in the Church , I have grown closer to the Savior.I have taught the youth in early morning seminary and have learned so much from studying the scriptures. I have served as a visiting teacher for many years and have thoroughly enjoyed the associations with many women in the Church. As I have served I have grown to love these ladies. There were many times in our military years that I was able to draw upon my experiences in serving in the Church to help those in the military community. I have served in the community helping with food drives and service projects for the elderly. As I have followed the example of the Savior my life has been greatly enriched.
