Hi I'm Morgan McKinney

I love being in the snow and dream of traveling the globe. I am serving a mission in Louisiana and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I love life and being happy! You'll usually find me staying out too late, eating too many cheez-its with my cat and going on road trips with my friends and family. I love photography and design and seeing beauty in the tiny details of life. I love all kinds of music and going to concerts and jamming out in the car with my best friends. I also love the outdoors and things like hiking, camping and rock climbing. I played golf in High School and and love basketball as well! I have an obsession with mermaids and diet coke and if I could be anywhere in the world right now, I would want to be in the temple with the people I care about most- Cheesy but hey :)

Why I am a Mormon

Growing up I just wanted to fit in. In High School I felt a little embarrassed about my faith. We would learn about Mormons in our history class and I wouldn't even say anything or make a comment about being one. It felt sort of like a burden I was carrying. I know that stemmed from not having a solid testimony of the church for myself. I never had that witness that the church was not only true but the only true church on the face of the earth. Then, graduation came and my 3 best friends, who were Mormon luckily, all went on different paths. I had one friend who decided to get married, one who was working and living at home and one who was going off to BYU Provo. I was wondering what I should do and prayed to have the answer. I applied to a few schools and got rejected from the one I was dying to go to. So I ended up going to BYU Idaho-mainly because it is cheaper than most. I got paired up with 5 amazing roommates who had testimonies of steal! I started dating guys who were preparing for missions and I attended devotional and church meetings regularly. Suddenly I felt like me and no longer had to hide my beliefs but embrace them entirely! Something was starting to work in me that I had never felt before. Being a Mormon became part of who I am! It was no longer a tiny attribute about myself but my entire existence! I know the Lord was preparing me slowly but surely and helping me develop a testimony for myself. I am currently serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and I couldn't be more proud of the church I belong to! I am a member of the restored gospel that is the Lord's kingdom on the earth today! I am not shy to tell people about this restored gospel and about the Book of Mormon: Another Testament of Jesus Christ and who Joseph Smith is. I love my faith every single day and proclaim the glad tidings of the gospel to every ear that will hear! I live my faith by having faith in Him :) If you have any questions, ask me!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being happy and letting my brother's and sisters feel God's love for them! I am currently serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Baton Rouge, Louisiana Mission. I love the gospel and make it a part of my life every single day :)
