Hi I'm Elizabeth Tello

I am a student at Brigham Young University in Idaho.

About Me

I am just a regular person that finds comfort in simplicity and education. I love to read and watch movies and learning from and about them.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because though I may not understand some teachings I am still able to find comfort. The scriptures provide a security for anxieties that no one could answer for me. It is the only constant and reliable thing in my life and I need that.

How I live my faith

I live it by being Christ-like. Before I do anything that seems risky I ask myself what Christ would want me to do. When I listen to a song on the radio I think of how I would feel is the Bishop of Christ were in the car, would I feel comfortable still listening to it? In order for me to be strong in my faith I have to imagine Christ standing right beside me,

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

Elizabeth Tello
It starts with believing in him and in his Father, our Father. Just like we learn about historic figures, we have to study and read about them. A difference between learning like in history class is that you have to live what you learn. You have to take characteristics you see the Christ shares and apply to your life. Be worthy to represent him. Show more Show less

Do Mormons regard the Bible as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Elizabeth Tello
Yes we do. The Book of Mormon is an additional record that we have become known for and do teach more often because the teachings are more applicable. Show more Show less
