Hi I'm Joshua Kostansek

I grew up in Florida. I'm a tutor, a pianist, a runner, and a future doctor. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Jacksonville, but my family moved to Gainesville when I was very young. I was raised there until four months before my mission. For the last four months before my mission my family lived in Clarksville, Tennessee. I was called to serve in the Texas Fort Worth Mission. I started college at 16, and graduated with my Associates in Arts degree when I was 18. I want to be a Doctor of Internal Medicine one day. I love my family! I learned how to play piano when I was 14 to impress a girl... didn't work... I participated in NJROTC for all four years of my high school career. My senior year, I was the Commanding Officer (the head cheese in charge). I ran cross country during my last year of high school and have always considered myself a runner. The most important thing in my life is my discipleship.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. However, my family wasn't very active until I was about 12. I developed a testimony gradually and have worked to strengthen it over the years. When I was 15, I went to EFY (Especially For Youth). I felt my Heavenly Father's love and the Holy Ghost while I was there, and haven't doubted the gospel since. I follow the gospel because I love my Heavenly Father and my Savior, Jesus Christ. I have struggled to stay righteous, but Christ's grace has allowed me to change and be better. I know that as I continue to serve the Lord, that my happiness can continue to grow for eternity. I know that my family can be together again after this life. I know that Christ lives, and that He is at the head of His church. I know that the prophets of these days are true prophets of God. I know that by and through faith and repentance we can live with Heavenly Father again. I know that The Book of Mormon is the Word of God. My testimony is the most precious thing in my life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by participating in my church actively. I play piano for various classes, and I have been called to serve a mission! I'm going to leave for two years and proselyte and serve every minute while I am gone. I visit families in need, and I serve whenever I can with my family. Most of all, I live the faith by spending the next two years of my life proclaiming the good news of the Gospel in Fort Worth, TX.
