Hi I'm Hannah

I moved 15 times by the time I turned fifteen. I am a straight "A" student & love to study. I Love to help others. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

The beauty of life is that we have persistent struggles everyday, every week, and every year. These challenges are here to help us, whether or not we choose to let them. Just like our parents on earth let us struggle and learn, so does our Heavenly Father. I am a daughter of God who enjoys Cross country, Swimming, reading, going Hiking, going Biking, playing chess, teaching others what I believe, tutoring children, acting, and using my challenges to help me grow closer to the Lord and to learn more about how Jesus Christ really did feel the pains of everyone and He is truly the only one who felt what we felt. We can draw comfort from Him.

Why I am a Mormon

This Gospel is truly about families. Heavenly Father wants each of us to build our relationships with our families. When I first started going to this church, I wasn't that into trying to have a nice relationship with my mom. As the years passed I learned more and more about who I am supposed to be; I am supposed to be someone who is loving with her words and actions, who takes time to be with her family, and who is compassionate even when it's hard. I am not supposed to be someone who yells at or mimics her mother and siblings. I am not supposed to be someone who puts my own desires before everyone else's. I am not supposed to be someone who judges her family members for things they have done. I am not supposed to be someone who refuses to forgive others. I am not supposed to be the one who waits on others to do the right thing. A child of God is what I am, and I need to hold that title with the utmost reverence. These principles are what changed my attitude towards my family. I try really hard not to yell at my mom anymore, I have let go of the things I refused to forgive concerning my family members, and I am closer to my Heavenly Father. Families are important!

How I live my faith

I am 19 years old and I struggle with anxiety. Many people try to help me by telling me "just try not to worry about it." When worrying about things is what you struggle with, it makes it hard to heed that advice. I joined a speech class in high school to try to get better at not getting so scared to talk in front of people. Lets just say I had a year filled with tears as I would try time and time again to get up there and share what I had to say. I will tell you this, even though I still cry when I stand in front of people and look into the crowd, I know that my Heavenly Father loves me and that is what keeps me going. I may not ever overcome this particular trial in this life, but my Father in Heaven will help me endure and find more ways of coping as I lean on my faith and leave for a mission in October. "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." Philippians 4:13
