Hi I'm Tyler Jessee

I grew up on the East Coast of the US, I went to an International Boarding School in Utah, I enjoy athletics and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a missionary in Seoul South Korea. I graduated High School in May of 2016, I went to an International Boarding School in Mount Pleasant Utah for 3 years called Wasatch Academy, in which I grew to understand many different cultures and customs. Prior to this I lived most of my life in New York and New Hampshire, where I started high school in an intercity setting, which really opened my eyes. I am very excited to serve a mission and bring others the peace, joy, happinesses and direction that this gospel brings. I am a three sport athlete, football basketball and baseball, all of which I enjoyed. I seek to inspire others and love to share my beliefs. After I return from my mission I will go to the University of Utah where I dream of becoming a Pediatric Surgeon.

Why I am a Mormon

Why I am Mormon. A question that I love. I chose to be Mormon because of the tremendous blessing it is in my life. The direction and path that it shows to me in something that I will forever be grateful in. Through the gospel of Jesus Christ I have found happiness, peace and joy. Don't get me wrong, I have had my fair share of sadness, trials and adversity but through my faith in Christ and and a faith that Christ can heal me, I have been strengthened. I know this church is true. I know that God is there, I know that Jesus Christ is there. They know and love me personally just as they know and love all of their children. They are real, they have bodies and they are awaiting our arrival to live with them again but only through our faithfulness and obedience to their commandments. This gospel has touched my life. It has given me hope and peace for the future and for where I am going. I have a testimony in Our Savior Jesus Christ. I have a testimony in His example of charity, love and in His atonement. Our Savior felt and suffered for all of our sins, all of our sadnesses and afflictions, he understand us, he knows us and died for our peace and happiness, so we could live with our Father again. If we have wronged we can be healed and make restitution. Our God is a loving and merciful God and as is His son Jesus Christ. I know that Joseph Smith restored this gospel through God and Christ and I know the Book of Mormon is scripture from heaven. I know that temples are true and sacred. I know that if we keep the commandments, we can have the Holy Ghost with us at all times and have the spirit to help and teach us and give us promptings to do that which is right. I love this gospel with all my heart and am grateful for all it has done for me. I am excited for these next two years to do all I can to serve Him who created us and help others find Christ. I will put my trust in God and His son Jesus Christ forever and I love them. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

I choose to live my faith right now in my life, mainly by choosing to serve a full time mission. My whole life I have been been surrounded by non-members. Growing up on the East Coast, I was the only Mormon in my school of 3000. It was a blessing in my life to have that experience because it strengthened my faith in Jesus Christ and inspired me to hold strong to my beliefs in an environment that thought my beliefs were too constricting. I have realized that my beliefs that stem from this church are not constricting but rather freeing, when I do what is right I feel peace in my life, I feel of the Love of Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father and feel of their spirit more strongly through the Holy Ghost. In my schooling I have shared my beliefs with all those who care to listen, I let people know who I am and who I believe in, God the Eternal Father and Jesus Christ. In my multiple wards I have held leadership positions in our youth groups. Through that I have been blessed and have become closer to God and Christ. I love to share my knowledge with everyone and that is why I chose to serve a mission, to share the truth with those who want to hear it.
