Hi I'm Dorothy

I grew up in Utah. I am a music teacher. I am a Mormon

About Me

I am a musician! I love music! I play the flute, piano and I sing. I also love doing family history because I love learning about my ancestors and relating to them. I love to travel and learn about different cultures! I love all of these things, but I love my family the most. I have a strong family who strengthen me and I don't know what I would do without them!

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up in a Mormon family and have been taught as I have grown. I have always known that the gospel was true and as I have grown, that testimony has strengthened. I have read The Book of Mormon many times and I read it every night. The Book of Mormon has strengthened me and brought me closer to Christ. I know that God loves me and is aware of me and I am brought closer to Him through The Book of Mormon. The LDS church have Prophets, Temples and the Priesthood that help us come back to God. You won't find that anywhere else and I will never give it up.

How I live my faith

I have gotten to teach four year olds at Church. I get to teach them about Christ, how to be kind, to be thankful for what the Lord gives us and to love one another. I go to church Institutes so I can learn more and come closer to Christ. I also, share my faith in any way I can!

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

Dorothy
The Savior taught His disciples, "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations" (Matthew 28:19) As followers of Jesus Christ, members of His Church are enthusiastic about proclaiming the good news of His restored gospel to all who are willing to listen. The light of truth sparks a desire to share. Missionaries love the gospel and know it to be true, which sparks a desire to share that wonderful gift that they have been blessed with. Missionaries serve between 18 months to 2 years and serve in pairs. They sacrifice this time to invite others to learn of the truth that they know! Show more Show less
